BABY GOATS ARE HERE!!!
We are a little slow to post updates about kiddos here, but kidding season was a whirlwind this year! We topped off with 3 handsome little devils and 2 beautiful senoritas! And new color combos to boot! How did we get so lucky?
Lucy and Moose delivered us our black and white boy, who we've decided to dub Melt Your Heart Milo! In true Lucy and Moose fashion this boy is a total sweetheart, and has recently crowned himself the "Quick Slide" as he's the perfect size to squeeze out of tiny holes (and we mean tiny holes) in the fence. Yikes! But he's a good sport about it and gives a sweet kiss before he's placed back in with mama. What a ham this guy is....it will take some smooth talking to get this special boy away from us.

Next up, Minnie and Moose decided to bless us with two girls! Oh! We've never been so excited. Much as we love our little men around here...two girls is a special treat. And...drum roll please....Our first blued eyed kid to boot! Mama Minnie finally decided it was time to pass on her trait and we are thrilled. We are calling our little blue eyed girl Afternoon Delight or Dee Dee for short. It really is the perfect name for this friendly, spunky girl. She gives Milo a run for his money on who's more adored at the moment. And her beautiful brown sister we are calling Penny for Your Thoughts, since this girl is waaay more independent than her sister. While still friendly and cuddly herself, Miss Penny, well...she's just got her own thing going on, lol. Penny acts A LOT like her papa...might be Moose's first real clone I could say. She definitely has his facial features, which we love. Per usual, we are never disappointed by Minnie and Moose's little angels.
Last up is Mary and Javier...they blessed us with two flashy boys this time. One tiny little man we think we are going to call Arturo or Artie for short, and our other strapping boy we are going to call Vino. He's a quiet charmer himself, but even though he's the youngest of the kids, he's very eager to jump on things like Dee Dee and Penny do and keep up with is older cousins.
Aren't these two guys just the cutest?! On a side note though, they aren't the best photography subjects. They enjoy lounging around waaay too much. Mr. Vino is on the left side and Mr. Artie is on the right.
Our 2017 baby Dos Cabras Rafael is still looking for a herd of girls to call his own. This feisty little guy will be two years old in February and is on his way to developing his extreme silky coat! With both grand-sires earning their MCH titles within the last few years, we feel extremely lucky to have such good bloodlines to boast about.
Please call or email if you are interested in adding our Rafe to your breeding program.

Fainters in Action!
Welcome to our Site! We are located outside of Red Lodge, Montana and are beginning our journey of raising wonderful, family friendly and healthy miniature fainting goats. We purchased our two miniature fainting goats (Lucy & Billy) from Mary and Carl Schaefer of Genesis Acres Exotic in Wisconsin in 2010 and had them flown in via air shipping.
When they finally arrived, it was the best day ever. Everyone in the family was charmed by their little faces (and even their unique baby goat howls). They have been an absolute joy these last 7 years and we have finally decided to take that love to the next level and begin our own breeding program.
The newest additions to our herd are Mini Silky Fainting Goats, which are a newer breed of goat specifically bred to have long, silky hair and bangs. We couldn't be happier with the decision to add this type of goat to our herd. Their fainting skills range from extremely proficient to not noticeably observed, but their beautiful coats and companionable natures are too wonderful to deny.
With strong Tennessee roots in Billy and Lucy's pedigree and the addition of the Mini Silky into our herd in Javier, Marigold, Minnie and Moose; we hope to have beautifully diverse little fainting goat kids to look forward to every year. It has been very exciting to trace our goats' pedigree history back to farms with privileged backgrounds such as Woody Creek Farms in Marshall County, Tennessee, Over EZ Acres in Oklahoma and Pine Acres Fainters in Minnesota. Our newest additions of Mini Silky fainters will include pedigrees of MCH Bayshores Brandon, MCH Sol-Orrs Bee Bop Kid, MCH Bayshores Apollo, MCH Bells Goats Elvis, and Sol-Orrs Latte. We are very grateful to Bells Goats, Triple A Acres, Bear Creeks Farm, and Bowden Goat Ranch for their wonderful additions to our family.
It is our hope as a breeder of both myotonic and mini silky goats to provide not only a good lineage to look back upon, but also provide potential buyers with great companions to keep and show if they want. It is our goal to build a herd with good health and diverse color combinations as well as working towards preserving the best qualities of both the myotonic and mini silky breed standards.
Our herd family is small at the moment, but we hope to grow and progress to become a quality breeder of these rare and unique goats. We choose each of our goats with specific care and consideration. We love each of them for their own unique personalities and we want to provide each of our new Dos Cabras goat kids with a good and loving place to call home.
Our future kids can be registered with either the Myotonic Goat Registry or the Mini Silky Fainting Goat Association. They will be well handled and friendly goat kids for anyone to raise. We are looking forward to the experience ahead of us.
If you are interested in any of our goats, please feel free to contact us anytime. I will gladly answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for stopping by our site!
